Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses Tawsil: customers who order and book, drivers who deliver, and restaurants, kitchens and shops that sell. Tawsil is run by Hussein Falih, Baghdad, Iraq ("Tawsil", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. Section 10 adds what applies to drivers, section 11 what applies to businesses, and section 12 covers plans, promotions and ads.

Tawsil is a tool that connects customers, stores and drivers. The store prepares and sells your order, the driver delivers it, and you choose what you order and what you share. Each person is responsible for their own actions and choices, not Tawsil. Section 8 explains this.

1. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • The details you give us must be true and up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One person, one account. Don't use someone else's account or let others use yours.
  • One account can be a customer, a driver and a business owner. You switch between them in the app, and these terms apply to all of them.

2. Orders and delivery

  • Restaurants, kitchens and shops set their own menus, prices, photos and opening hours, and are responsible for the food and goods they sell.
  • Prices are in Iraqi dinars (IQD). You see the items and the delivery fee before you place an order.
  • Orders are delivered to the address you choose. A store delivers only within a set distance from where it is.
  • The delivery fee depends on the straight-line distance between the store and your address, with a minimum and a maximum. The fee goes to the driver.
  • Delivery times are estimates. Traffic, weather and busy hours can make an order later.
  • A store has 5 minutes to answer a new order. If nobody answers, the order is cancelled automatically and you are told. A store can also decline an order and choose a reason, which you will see.
  • When a store accepts your order, it sets how long it needs to prepare it.
  • You can cancel an order until the store accepts it. After that, message the store from the order. Only a few orders can be on the way for you at the same time.
  • Check your order when it arrives. If something is missing or wrong, tell us from Help & Support in the app as soon as you can.

3. Payment and refunds

  • You pay the driver in cash when your order arrives: the items and the delivery fee. You pay only after you have checked your order.
  • If it is not what you ordered, send it back with the driver and you do not pay for it. Then tell us from Help & Support.
  • Card and wallet payments are not available yet. If they are added, these terms will be updated.
  • If something is missing, wrong or damaged, report it from Help & Support. Tawsil looks into each report and replies in the app.

4. Table bookings

  • Restaurants and cafés that take bookings let you book a table for a date and time, a number of guests, and an optional note. You can book from about half an hour to 60 days ahead.
  • A booking is not confirmed until the restaurant confirms it. The restaurant can confirm it, decline it and give a reason, or suggest another time. If it suggests another time, you can accept or decline it.
  • If the restaurant doesn't answer before the booking time, or you don't answer a suggested time before it passes, the booking is cancelled and you are told.
  • You can cancel a booking from the app. The restaurant is told.
  • A restaurant can mark that you arrived or didn't show up.
  • Some restaurants offer a discount to guests who book through Tawsil. The discount is shown to you when you book.
  • We share your name, phone number and note with the restaurant so it can handle your booking.

5. Group orders

  • A customer (the host) can start a group order from one open store and share an invite code with friends. Friends add their own dishes until the host's time runs out or the host locks the order.
  • The host checks the order and places it as one order, paid in cash by the host. Friends can see their share of the cost in the app. This is information only: Tawsil does not collect money from friends.
  • There are limits on the number of friends, dishes, time and order total. The app tells you when you reach one.
  • Friends see the host's area but not the host's full address.

6. Reels, comments and content

  • Businesses post reels. Signed-in users can watch, like, save, share and comment on them.
  • Only post videos, photos and words you have the right to share, and only music from Tawsil's library.
  • You keep ownership of what you post. You allow Tawsil to store it, show it in the app and, if a business promotes it, show it as sponsored.
  • No hateful, violent, sexual, misleading or illegal content, and no harassment.
  • You can delete your own comments. A business can delete comments on its own reels. Anyone can report a comment or block a person. Tawsil reviews reports.
  • We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.

7. Things you must not do

  • No fake orders, fake bookings, fraud, or cheating promotions or rankings.
  • Don't try to break, copy or misuse the app.
  • Stores must not offer alcohol, tobacco, vapes, prescription medicines, weapons, or any goods that are illegal in Iraq or that need an age check or a special licence. We may remove such items and suspend the store.
  • Treat drivers, store staff, customers and our support team with respect, in chats too.

8. Our service

  • We work to keep Tawsil available and safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable or have mistakes.
  • Tawsil is a tool that connects customers, stores and drivers. It is not the seller of the food or goods, and it does not deliver them.
  • Stores are responsible for what they sell. Drivers are responsible for how they drive and handle your order. Each of you is responsible for what you say and do in the app.
  • Tawsil does not hold or guarantee the money of cash orders. Cash is paid between the customer, the driver and the store.
  • To the extent the law allows, Tawsil is not responsible for losses that come from the actions of stores, drivers, customers or other users.
  • Tawsil is not responsible for losses caused by events outside our control, such as network outages or road closures.

9. Suspending and deleting accounts

  • We may pause, suspend or close an account or a store that breaks these terms or the law, puts people at risk, or uses false information. Where possible, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
  • We may look at any store after it goes live. A suspended store is closed and hidden from customers, and its owner sees the reason in the app. Orders already in progress can still be finished.
  • You can delete your account in the app from your profile. You confirm with your password or with Face ID or Touch ID. There is one account and one deletion for all your roles.
  • First we check that nothing is in progress: open orders, upcoming bookings, group orders, running ads or promotions, deliveries, or money still to be settled. If something is, we tell you what to finish first.
  • When you ask, your stores are hidden at once and drivers go offline. You have 30 days to change your mind: sign in and choose Keep my account.
  • After 30 days we delete for good your account, profile, stores, menus, reels, photos, documents and chat messages.
  • We keep records of orders and payments, and records of paid ads, plans and payouts, because we need them for accounting and legal duties. We remove your personal details from them first: names, phone numbers, addresses, notes, door photos and review text. We keep these records for 10 years from the end of the financial year they belong to.

10. For drivers

  • You use the Tawsil app on your own account. You are not an employee of Tawsil, and these terms do not make you one.
  • You must be at least 18, allowed to work in Iraq, and have a valid ID. If you use a motorised vehicle you also need a valid driving licence.
  • The photo and documents you send must be true, current and your own. We review every application and may ask you to check them again, for example when they expire.
  • You choose when to go online and which orders to accept. You set a delivery range you can really cover. Repeatedly accepting and then cancelling orders may affect your account. You can cancel an order until you pick it up. After pickup, contact support.
  • For each delivery you earn the delivery fee shown before you accept. For a cash order you pay the store for the items from your own cash, then collect the items and the fee from the customer, and the fee is yours. Declare the cash you carry in My Cash. You only get cash orders you can pay for.
  • Money that Tawsil owes you, such as prizes, is withdrawn from My Cash to your payout account. The account must be in your own name. We confirm a new account with a small test amount you enter in the app; after three wrong tries you'll need to add it again. Withdrawal speed depends on your plan.
  • We may hold or adjust a payment while we look into a cancelled order, a complaint or suspected misuse. You are responsible for taxes on your earnings.
  • While you have an active order, the app sends your location to Tawsil, also when the app is in the background, so the customer and the store can follow the order.
  • Never open, change, keep or swap an order, or ask a customer for extra money.
  • If a customer sends an order back, or an order cannot be delivered, take it back to the store. The store gives you back what you paid for it.
  • Tawsil does not guarantee the money of cash orders. If cash is lost, Tawsil is not responsible for that loss. Tell support from the app.
  • Follow traffic laws, wear a helmet on two-wheelers, don't use your phone while driving and never deliver under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Keep your vehicle safe and insured as the law requires.
  • Driver plans, limits and prizes are described in section 12 and in the app.

11. For restaurants, kitchens and shops

  • A business can be a restaurant or café, an online kitchen, a home kitchen or a shop. One account can run several stores.
  • When your store is set up, you press Go live and it is visible to customers straight away. Tawsil does not approve a store before it goes live. We may review it afterwards and may suspend it.
  • To go live you need your store's name, category, location, phone number, opening hours and at least 3 items for sale. A home kitchen also needs both sides of the owner's ID and a photo of the kitchen instead of a trade licence. You can send your trade licence from your profile and Tawsil checks it. We may ask for it at any time.
  • Home kitchens: customers see only your area, not your full address. The driver collecting an order gets the full address. Your ID and kitchen photos are private: only you and Tawsil can see them.
  • Menus, prices, photos, opening hours and availability must be accurate. Mark items sold out when you can't make them.
  • Answer new orders within 5 minutes, or they are cancelled automatically. If you decline, choose the real reason: the customer sees it. When you accept, set a preparation time you can keep.
  • Prepare orders on time, hygienically and as described, and hand them to the driver sealed. You are responsible for the food and goods you sell and for following food-safety and consumer laws.
  • Orders are delivered by drivers. For cash orders the driver pays you for the items when picking up the order. Tawsil does not charge a commission on orders at this time.
  • If a customer sends an order back, or an order cannot be delivered, the driver brings it back to you and you give the driver back what the driver paid for it.
  • Restaurants and cafés can turn on table bookings and choose a booking discount. Answer bookings in time and tell customers the real reason when you decline.
  • Reels must show your real food and real prices.

12. Plans, promotions and ads

  • Drivers and businesses can be on a Free, Pro or Unlimited plan. Each plan has its own limits, for example how many orders a month, how many orders at once and how far a driver can deliver, or how many menu items and AI uses a business gets. Prices and limits are shown in the app and Tawsil can change them.
  • A new driver and a new business get one free month of Pro. When a paid plan or the free month ends, you go back to Free.
  • Card payment is not available yet. To get a paid plan, contact Tawsil support and we will activate it.
  • A business can ask to promote a reel or to run an ad in Special Offers on the customer Home. You choose how long and where. The price is shown before you ask. Tawsil contacts you to take the payment, and the promotion starts after Tawsil confirms it. We may decline a request and tell you why. You can withdraw a request that isn't approved yet.
  • Promoted reels and ads are marked Sponsored. They must be truthful and lawful. Any discount in an ad is the business's own offer.
  • Drivers can also take part in Champions, a monthly competition. Tawsil sets and awards the prizes, and the rules are shown in the app.

13. Your data

  • How we collect and use your information is explained in the Privacy Policy. This includes that your information is stored outside Iraq.

14. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms. The date and version at the top show the latest one.
  • If you keep using Tawsil after an update, you accept the updated terms.
  • We may transfer Tawsil and these terms to a company owned by the person who runs Tawsil. We will tell you in the app before it happens, and the new company will be named in these terms.

15. Law and contact

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. The courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
  • These terms are written in English. If they are translated into another language, the English text prevails.
  • For questions about these terms, your account or payments, use Help & Support in the app or write to support@gettawsil.com.
